EXCELLENCE THROUGH PEOPLE CODE OF PRACTICE
The
Excellence Through People scheme is based on a three part Code of Practice:
Code of Good Recruitment Practice:
This sets down the key elements in an employers relationship with job
applicants, including such commitments as the promise to respond to everyone
seeking employment, and the provision of a full job description at the time of
the interview.
Code of Good Employment Practice:
This is organised in five sections: Recruit and Select with Care; Offer a
competitive Employment Practice; Developing Skills and Performance; Communicate
Effectively and Recognise and Reward.
Code of Best Employment Practice:
This has five additional criteria and includes: Education Business
Partnerships; Widening Access to Employment Opportunities; Providing
Opportunities to Gain Qualifications; Taking on a Training Apprentice and
Making a Formal Public Commitment to Achieve Recognition as an Investor in
People.
